My name is Nils-Henrik Faber (Nils) and I live in the outskirts of Copenhagen.

Throughout my professional career I have been working with cellular technology – from R&D, and production of mobile phones in the early 1990’s, growing mobile networks to meet the needs, to using these networks for IoT – something we did not really plan for in the beginning. Initially with a small danish GSM phone OEM, Dancall, and then 27 years with the King of Mobile, Ericsson. Now I am my own employer, working closely with select partners in the cellular IoT space.

I have seen the challenges that growth pose to operators and enterprises alike. Whether in backend capacity, operational processes, procurement, cost, growth is challenging in fast growing global businesses.

For the last 15 years at Ericsson I have been dedicated working with IoT (or m2m as we originally called it) for OEM’s that are global, such as automotive, smart metering, body cams, drones, logistics, transport, and many more. All making me realize that data driven decision making is imperative when operating, at quality and cost, a global business.
